International b2b Meetings at EMO Hannover: Using trade fair days efficiently with the Enterprise Europe Network

The world’s leading trade fair for metalworking taking place from 16 to 21 September 2019, will once again attract decision-makers from all over the world. With the help from Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg and the Enterprise Europe Network, entrepreneurs will get into conversation with each other.

Finding the right business partner abroad is like looking for a needle in a haystack,” says Sandra Weingart from Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg. The foreign trade consultant is in daily contact with small and medium-sized companies that want to open up to new markets. Cooperation partners are often a door opener to the target country. “Trade fairs are the ideal place to make business contacts – as generally known,” she explains. That’s why very few entrepreneurs miss out on major international industry events such as EMO Hannover — whether as exhibitors or visitors. “An effort that should pay off”, emphasises the consultant.

At the international b2b meetings of Handwerk International Baden-Württemberg and the Enterprise Europe Network, entrepreneurs meet suitable partners from all over the world. “All participants will present their company profiles on our online platform before the fair. This makes it easy to find interesting companies,” explains Weingart. “Entrepreneurs can arrange appointments and use the days of the fair efficient with their individual time schedules. 298 participants from 25 countries took part in 2017 and had positive experiences — like Arjun Shidhaye from GenauEngineers: “The company profiles published online helped us to find relevant discussion partners in a targeted manner”. “Martin Wolf and Markus Lichtl from Wolf Maschinenbau AG in Brackenheim also report: “At the cooperation exchange, we established a promising contact with a Czech company.“

Our years of experience with matchmaking events show how effective this targeted initiation of cooperation is,” reports Sandra Weingart, foreign trade consultant. “Numerous successful business partnerships have arisen from this in recent years and have made EMO Hannover a real success for our companies”.

All exhibitors can use the cooperation exchange as part of their trade fair package. Trade fair visitors receive a free ticket upon registration.
