One year Club of Metalworking — what’s new and what’s to expect

New mem­bers every day, new func­tions and the first big event on our doorstep with EMO Han­nover: the first birth­day of the Club of Met­al­work­ing is a cause for joy for us, but no rea­son to take a breather. Whether newslet­ters, per­son­al club cards, a dis­cus­sion board or down­load area for mem­bers — the Club of Met­al­work­ing is evolv­ing in many ways. How to get to EMO Han­nover as a club mem­ber and answers to oth­er fre­quent­ly asked ques­tions — here is all the infor­ma­tion you need.

How do I get a tick­et to EMO Han­nover as a club member?

The per­son­al mem­ber­ship card of the Club of Met­al­work­ing is your sea­son tick­et to EMO Han­nover. Scan the bar­code at the entrance and you will reach the exhi­bi­tion grounds. An addi­tion­al reg­is­tra­tion is not nec­es­sary. Please note that all vis­i­tors to EMO Han­nover this year will receive a badge with their name and select­ed pro­fes­sion­al data. Please check in good time before the start of the fair whether your infor­ma­tion is cor­rect and up to date.

How do I get a tick­et for local bus­es and trains vis­it­ing EMO Han­nover as a club member?

Imme­di­ate­ly after reg­is­tra­tion for the Club of Met­al­work­ing, you will receive a per­son­alised tick­et for local pub­lic trans­port with­in the tar­iff area of GVH. Log in to the Club of Met­al­work­ing web­site, click on My Club and you will find your tick­et in the down­load area.

Is sup­port pro­vid­ed to club mem­bers for hotel book­ings for EMO Hannover?

Unfor­tu­nate­ly we can­not assist our mem­bers with hotel book­ings. You will find help­ful infor­ma­tion and links on the EMO Han­nover web­site. How­ev­er, as a Club Mem­ber you are wel­come to use our dis­cus­sion board to offer spare rooms to oth­er Club Mem­bers at cost price after the can­cel­la­tion dead­line and/or to look for a room there. Log in to the web­site of the Club of Met­al­work­ing, click on My Club and you will find the dis­cus­sion board. Please take note of the book­ing con­di­tions in any case and con­sult the respec­tive hotel, as the Club of Met­al­work­ing and its part­ners can­not assume any lia­bil­i­ty for pri­vate agree­ments and busi­ness of third parties.

Is there any way the Club of Met­al­work­ing can help me get a visa?

Unfor­tu­nate­ly, we can­not issue invi­ta­tions or pro­vide fur­ther assis­tance. If you need an invi­ta­tion let­ter to apply for visa, please vis­it the tick­et shop of EMO Han­nover. You will find fur­ther infor­ma­tion on buy­ing tick­ets in con­junc­tion with a let­ter of invi­ta­tion there.

When will I receive my per­son­al club card?

Imme­di­ate­ly after reg­is­tra­tion to the Club of Met­al­work­ing, you will receive a pro­vi­sion­al club card in PDF for­mat. Log in to the Club of Met­al­work­ing web­site, click on My Club and you will find your mem­ber­ship card in the down­load sec­tion. Mem­ber­ship cards in cred­it card for­mat were mailed for the first time in Decem­ber 2018, new members’s cards are pro­duced every month and sent out after­wards. Mem­bers out­side the Euro­pean Union will receive their per­son­al mem­ber­ship card by post in good time before the start of the fair, if they reg­is­ter to the Club of Met­al­work­ing by 30 June 2019. Mem­bers inside the Euro­pean Union will receive their per­son­al mem­ber­ship card by post, if they reg­is­ter to the Club of Met­al­work­ing by 31 July 2019. Mem­bers who reg­is­ter after lat­er, can col­lect their mem­ber­ship card at EMO Han­nover in person.

I have not received my club card. What can I do?

Since our club cards are pro­duced at the begin­ning of every month, it can take up to eight weeks before you receive your club card, depend­ing on the time of your reg­is­tra­tion and the postal time. If let­ters are returned to us due to a wrong address, we will con­tact our mem­bers. As the return some­times takes sev­er­al months, longer wait­ing times may occur. If you have been a mem­ber of the Club of Met­al­work­ing for more than two months but have not yet received a mem­ber­ship card, please send us an e‑mail to clubofmetalworking@vdw.de. We will inves­ti­gate the mat­ter as soon as possible.
