One year Club of Metalworking — what’s new and what’s to expect
New members every day, new functions and the first big event on our doorstep with EMO Hannover: the first birthday of the Club of Metalworking is a cause for joy for us, but no reason to take a breather. Whether newsletters, personal club cards, a discussion board or download area for members — the Club of Metalworking is evolving in many ways. How to get to EMO Hannover as a club member and answers to other frequently asked questions — here is all the information you need.
How do I get a ticket to EMO Hannover as a club member?
The personal membership card of the Club of Metalworking is your season ticket to EMO Hannover. Scan the barcode at the entrance and you will reach the exhibition grounds. An additional registration is not necessary. Please note that all visitors to EMO Hannover this year will receive a badge with their name and selected professional data. Please check in good time before the start of the fair whether your information is correct and up to date.
How do I get a ticket for local buses and trains visiting EMO Hannover as a club member?
Immediately after registration for the Club of Metalworking, you will receive a personalised ticket for local public transport within the tariff area of GVH. Log in to the Club of Metalworking website, click on My Club and you will find your ticket in the download area.
Is support provided to club members for hotel bookings for EMO Hannover?
Unfortunately we cannot assist our members with hotel bookings. You will find helpful information and links on the EMO Hannover website. However, as a Club Member you are welcome to use our discussion board to offer spare rooms to other Club Members at cost price after the cancellation deadline and/or to look for a room there. Log in to the website of the Club of Metalworking, click on My Club and you will find the discussion board. Please take note of the booking conditions in any case and consult the respective hotel, as the Club of Metalworking and its partners cannot assume any liability for private agreements and business of third parties.
Is there any way the Club of Metalworking can help me get a visa?
Unfortunately, we cannot issue invitations or provide further assistance. If you need an invitation letter to apply for visa, please visit the ticket shop of EMO Hannover. You will find further information on buying tickets in conjunction with a letter of invitation there.
When will I receive my personal club card?
Immediately after registration to the Club of Metalworking, you will receive a provisional club card in PDF format. Log in to the Club of Metalworking website, click on My Club and you will find your membership card in the download section. Membership cards in credit card format were mailed for the first time in December 2018, new members’s cards are produced every month and sent out afterwards. Members outside the European Union will receive their personal membership card by post in good time before the start of the fair, if they register to the Club of Metalworking by 30 June 2019. Members inside the European Union will receive their personal membership card by post, if they register to the Club of Metalworking by 31 July 2019. Members who register after later, can collect their membership card at EMO Hannover in person.
I have not received my club card. What can I do?
Since our club cards are produced at the beginning of every month, it can take up to eight weeks before you receive your club card, depending on the time of your registration and the postal time. If letters are returned to us due to a wrong address, we will contact our members. As the return sometimes takes several months, longer waiting times may occur. If you have been a member of the Club of Metalworking for more than two months but have not yet received a membership card, please send us an e‑mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will investigate the matter as soon as possible.
